Operationally, Cameroon has established a multi-agency Joint Investigation Unit and the Head of the Gendarmerie Training Academy reported that the lessons learned during the IIJ workshops have&nbsp; been introduced into the training curriculum for all new officers. Moreover, each agency group involved in the IIJ project have outlined their next steps for improving their approach to intelligence-led, evidence-driven counter-terrorism investigations in accordance with internationally-recognised good practices and recommendations. This ensures not only continued momentum and attention on this crucial area, but supports the sustainability of the training.
