The workshop, part of the IIJ Judicial Initiative, brought together these practitioners to discuss common challenges such as heavy caseloads, high turnover and possible judicial interference, but also saw presentations from a number of international experts on good practices set out in The Hague Memorandum, legal interpretation, investigation, court security, cyber security and court proceedings and also provided a number of practical exercises to assist judges and prosecutors in handling hypothetical cases under guidance of international experts from the United States and United Kingdom.
