IIJ presented its Initiative for Parliamentarians in Counter Terrorism at the EU Inter-Parliamentary Conference
On 27 April the IIJ presented its Initiative for parliamentarians from Middle East and Africa countries in the in the context of the EU Inter-Parliamentary Conference on EU Common Foreign and Security Policy and Common Security and Defense Policy held in Malta on occasion of its Presidency of the Council of the EU. The IIJ participated in the session focused on European Response to the Instability and Threats in the Southern Mediterranean and in the Middle East, together with the EU CT Coordinator. It gave an outline of the GCTF Valletta Recommendations Relating to Contributions by Parliamentarians to Response to Terrorism and presented the upcoming course of the Initiative developed with the EU support. 170 delegates attended the event.
