OSCE – Wide CT Conference

The IIJ presented its work on juvenile justice in the CT context at the OSCE-wide annual counterterrorism conference hosted by Italy – the OSCE 2018 Chairmanship – in Rome, on 10-11 May 2018. The event addressed the ‘Reverse Flow of Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTFs)’.  Countries’ representatives and practitioners discussed the variety of issues pertaining to FTF matters with the imperative of securing human rights and fundamental freedoms, with particular regards to those of children. The IIJ’s representative stressed the need to combine international vision with country-level efforts as well as he emphasized the opportunities for greater cooperation between the IIJ and the OSCE.
