The IIJ successfully delivered the first edition of the Counter-Terrorism Academic Curriculum (CTAC) programme for Nigerien justice practitioners. This selective programme, fully funded by the United Kingdom, enhanced the knowledge and skills of investigators, prosecutors, and investigative judges handling terrorism and organised crime cases in Niger. The online component delivered (January 6–February 13, 2025) provided practical, innovative training tailored to national needs.
The event concluded with outstanding outcomes, as highly engaged and committed participants excelled in a series of challenging scenario-based exercises. Fifteen selected participants will now advance to the in-person component in Tunisia, where they will further refine their expertise in evidence building, international cooperation, and human rights-compliant procedures, ensuring efficient case management and strengthened judicial networks.
