IIJ Signs a New Grant with Japan
The International Institute for Justice (IIJ) is proud to begin the year on a strong and constructive note with the new grant agreement with the Government of Japan. IIJ’s Officer-in-Charge, Reinhard Uhrig, welcomed Mr. Tadahiko Yamaguchi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in Malta, to IIJ headquarters, where both parties formalised continued support our work addressing the international challenges of #CT arising from the exploitation of new technologies such as AI in Southeast Asia.
Through this renewed partnership, IIJ’s initiatives will support urgent dialogue among experts and criminal justice practitioners, equipping the latter to better identify, prevent, and respond to AI-assisted terrorism. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening AI governance frameworks that uphold justice, the rule of law, security, and regional stability in Southeast Asia.
