On 14 January, the IIJ launched a Counter-Terrorism Academic Curriculum (CTAC) for Practitioners from East and West Africa, generously supported by the Government of Nigeria.
The programme, brings together 30 selected practitioners from Cameroon, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Tanzania for a five-week interactive online course delivered via the IIJ’s online learning platform.
The course is designed to strengthen practitioners’ ability to investigate and prosecute terrorism cases effectively, uphold human rights, and foster regional and international cooperation. With its interactive, practice driven methodology, the CTAC equips participants with practical skills and professional networks that go beyond traditional training.
Those who successfully complete the online component will be invited to the in-person programme in April 2026.
